What to Do When You Get Sick in Echoes of the Plum Grove

echoes of hte plum grove intro-2

In Echoes of the Plum Grove, sicknesses are one of the most threatening obstacles your character may face. After falling sick, your character may be at risk of passing away, unless you can beat the odds of survival or improve recovery rates through rest and treatment.

The first thing that you should attempt to do when you fall sick with an illness or disease in Echoes of the Plum Grove is to visit the Doctor. The Doctor will have solutions for many diseases that you can purchase for money, such as pills or vaccinations. While these are not a guaranteed solution to surviving sickness, you will have access to them both before you get sick and during your sickness, so utilizing them will boost your survival odds by a certain percentage. This means that with the use of medical treatment proper rest days and careful monitoring of your character's health, you will be giving yourself the best chance at pulling through from the sickness or disease.

The second thing that you may want to consider doing to prevent yourself from falling sick in Echoes of the Plum Grove is changing the settings of your game to prevent the most threatening death rates from these sicknesses. This can be done through the options menu, where you can toggle the Diseases option off completely.

Doing so should create a much more cozy gameplay experience, as diseases are one of the biggest nuisances of the game - especially when you are just starting and trying to build things up. If you haven't prepared in advance by having your character marry someone and have children, then if they happen to suddenly fall sick and die, you may be forced to start your entire playthrough again from the beginning. If you don't want to worry about the stress of this, then simply turning off diseases is the quickest and easiest solution, allowing you to build up some important resources before you choose to turn them back on.
