How to Stop People From Dying in Echoes of the Plum Grove

In Echoes of the Plum Grove, character deaths can be frustrating and stressful to deal with, especially if you have multiple sick residents who are vulnerable to dying, and they are residents that you desperately wish to keep alive. Luckily, there are a couple of things that you can do to try and ensure that you successfully stop people from dying, and create a cozier gameplay experience.

The first method that you can use to stop both residents and player characters from dying in Echoes of the Plum Grove is by changing your gameplay settings. In the options menu, there are a variety of different settings that can be edited and toggled on or off to change the difficulty level of your playthrough and get rid of troublesome obstacles and mechanics.

By toggling both the Aging and Diseases mechanics off, characters should no longer die from sicknesses or natural causes through old age, which will significantly lower the number of characters who manage to wind up dead, perhaps even stopping deaths altogether until you toggle these settings back on.

The second thing you can do to stop characters dying in Echoes of the Plum Grove is to visit the Doctor. The most common reason for death in this game is sickness and diseases, such as the dreaded Smallpox that many players have been experiencing troubles with. At any point before contracting one of these diseases, or sometimes even after contracting them, yet before death occurs, you can visit the Doctor and get your character vaccinated or some medication to help, in exchange for money, which will vary depending on the disease you are suffering from.

While this doesn't guarantee survival, it will give you a much better chance, so pairing this with days of rest for your character, careful monitoring of their health, and ensuring they eat well over the following days will give them a much better chance of making it through these health threats.
