While the Echo series starring Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez is rumored to feature Charlie Cox as Daredevil and Vincent D'onofrio as Kingpin, confirmation of said speculation has yet to rise. Still, new rumors provide potential details about their return to the MCU and how much fans can expect to see of them.

Charlie Cox's Daredevil and D'Onofrio's Kingpin first faced off in the former's standalone series for Netflix, which lasted for 3 seasons until it was unceremoniously canceled along with the rest of the streamer's original Marvel shows. For years, fans wondered if Daredevil and the other shows were considered canon in the MCU, and they finally got somewhat of an answer when Charlie Cox's Daredevil showed up Spider-Man: No Way Home and D'Onofrio's Kingpin was revealed to be the main antagonist of Hawkeye.

While it's still unclear if the Daredevil series is canon in the MCU or if Marvel Studios is starting fresh with the characters, The Hollywood Reporter says Man without Fear and Kingpin will play a role in the upcoming Echo series. Now, The Weekly Planet claims Charlie Cox's Daredevil will appear in 3 episodes of Echo, and he'll supposedly be wearing a black and red suit, as opposed to the yellow outfit that was rumored a while back. Furthermore, Charlie Cox's Daredevil will allegedly be searching for Jessica Jones, though precise details on what exactly that means were not provided.

D'Onofrio's Kingpin, who was last seen in the Hawkeye finale seemingly being shot in the face by Maya Lopez, is supposedly going to appear in four episodes of Echo. Much like his comic book counterpart, D'Onofrio's Kingpin will have survived his encounter with Echo and now wears an eye patch. Allegedly, Kingpin's storyline will be building toward the crime lord running for Mayor of New York City, which fans may recall was a prominent storyline in the comics that saw Kingpin eventually elected to the position and using his power to arrest Daredevil allies in an attempt to provoke the vigilante.

At this time, there has been no confirmation of this information from official Marvel Studios sources, but fans who are hoping to see Daredevil and Kingpin reunite are likely hoping it's all true. Even if Marvel Studios' jettisons the events of the Daredevil series and starts fresh, seeing Charlie Cox and D'onofrio together again as their iconic characters would be thrilling for all.

Still, this series is all about Alaqua Cox's Maya Lopez, and Echo is already introducing newcomers like Devery Jacobs' character. Nonetheless, if these rumors are true, it appears Echo will have plenty of room for new faces and old favorites.

Echo is currently in production.
