As EA continues to develop EA Sports College Football, the next entry is reportedly going to focus on the popular Dynasty Mode above all else. After being missing in action for a decade, which was marred by legal battles, EA Sports College Football is set to make a big return.EA Sports College Football started life on the Sega Genesis in 1993 under the moniker of Bill Walsh College Football before becoming NCAA Football. The series ran until 2013 when the NCAA fell into dispute with EA over the use of players’ names and likenesses, which took some years to resolve and for the development of the series to resume.RELATED: EA Responds to New NCAA Football Court RulingWith EA Sports College Football set to return in the 2024 season, information about the game’s focus is slowly becoming available. Posting on Twitter, Matt Brown, the publisher of college football news site Extra Points, has claimed that EA is dedicating a lot of resources to creating a rather in-depth Dynasty Mode. The updated Dynasty Mode allows players to oversee the operation of one of the college teams with the ability to become the head coach as they look to make headway in the Division-1 league.

The focus on building an unstoppable college football team will certainly be an exciting prospect for those fans who have been waiting over a decade since the last game. The benefit is that the new direction will go a long way to differentiating EA Sports College Football from EA’s other big football game, Madden NFL.

There will still be the opportunity for players to take to the field and throw the pigskin as the Road to Glory mode is also set to return to EA Sports College Football. Road to Glory allows gamers to create their own player, choose their preferred playing position, and guide them through their four-year college career. Players will then spend their time trying to move the avatar through the ranks and up the depth chart as they try to cement their legacy in the world of American Football.

There is still a way to go before players can get their hands on EA Sports College Football. Fans are still waiting for their first look at the gameplay, as well as confirmations on which consoles the game will release for. Likewise, there has been no word on which franchises will make the cut. Traditional college teams like Notre Dame and Wisconsin are set to return but until EA is ready to showcase the game, this could change.

EA Sports College Football is in development.
