Ever since EA confirmed it was bringing back the College Football series, fans have eagerly awaited its return. However, some fans were hesitant to become optimistic after this announcement, worrying that legal troubles would again become too big of a hurdle. When EA announced the return of College Football in 2021, it revealed that the NCAA title had been removed from College Football 24, presumably in an effort to avoid further legal issues. Thankfully, as the game's development is nearing completion, it seems that it has managed to avoid legal problems, giving college football fans good reason to be excited for this Summer.

In August 2023, EA revealed that it had secured licensing deals with most of the major colleges for College Football 24. It's not yet known if EA was able to complete deals with the rest of the major schools. Although it's possible that a couple universities might be missing from College Football 24, its features will hopefully cancel out that potential disappointment.

Similar to previous games in the series, College Football 24 will reportedly feature a Dynasty mode. This format allows users to control a college football program's recruiting, player development, and on-the-field play, as they attempt to lead the team to national prominence.
