It seems that gamers could be getting a good deal of information on upcoming sci-fi horror titles in the next few weeks. Firstly, there's the survival-horror game The Callisto Protocol, which plans to reveal some brand-new gameplay at this year's Gamescom. Now, EA may be gearing up to unveil some more information on its upcoming Dead Space Remake, which will act as somewhat of a soft reboot for the acclaimed franchise as EA looks to completely overhaul the beginning of engineer Isaac Clarke's story.The Dead Space Remake was announced at EA Play Live 2021, and while it showed off some very early gameplay footage later on that year, fans were informed that they would have to wait until 2022 for a better look at the game. Since 2022 began, those anticipating the game have been informed that they'll be waiting until 2023 to get it, with little info being shared of the Dead Space Remake. However, it seems that now EA is finally ready to show off what the team at Motive Studios has been working on.Reportedly, the end of September will be the time when fans can expect another, in-depth look at the Dead Space Remake. This will take place during an event with a presentation which will be followed by developer questions. Hopefully, this will be another chance to see how much the remake improves on the original Dead Space. Already, fans have seen the major visual updates that will be coming to the remake, but there are other changes as well.
For example, some cut content from the original Dead Space will reportedly be making its way to the remake as well. Whatever EA has planned for this new presentation, as long as it contains a fresh look at Motive's work on the Dead Space Remake, it is sure to excite a lot of fans. Considering it has been almost ten years since Dead Space received an entry in its third game, many are eagerly anticipating a return to the unique horror franchise.
With a release date set for January 2023, a September presentation for the Dead Space Remake gives EA and Motive plenty of time to build hype around the game in the months leading up to its release. As well as the new Dead Space, EA also has plenty of other single-player titles in the works, including Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and a planned Black Panther game. According to a recent investor meeting, this is all part of EA's new focus on single-player games.
Dead Space will release on January 27, 2023, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
