It's been seven years since Techland released the original Dying Light. Comparatively, the original Dying Light has recorded 20 million units in sales since its 2015 launch. Amidst the growing popularity of Dying Light 2, the developers don't seem to have forgotten about the original title either. Players will also receive The Bozak Horde, Crash Test Skin Pack, Ultimate Survivor Bundle, and Cuisine and Cargo DLCs. All these DLC packs are accessible directly within the game starting today.

The free enhanced version upgrade comes shortly after the developers released a brand new "Dieselpunk" DLC for the original Dying Light, seven years after release. The update lets players equip steampunk gear which includes a new chainsaw and the "Flesh Ripper" sword among others. Prior to the Dieselpunk pack, Dying Light got the "Hellraid" DLC back in 2020 which offered expanded content for players. Hellraid basically transformed zombies into skeletons and mythical beasts which added some fantasy elements to the game.

Meanwhile, Techland is also working on more updates for the sequel title. Dying Light 2 New Game+ mode was recently shipped along with update 1.3.0. Although not much else is known about what fans can expect from the upcoming content, the developer has stated that the DLC will surprise players, suggesting that maybe it's worth expecting the unexpected.
