Dying Light 2 is a large enough game that a single "damsel in distress" trope isn't going to make too many eyes roll. Though the quest designers certainly weren't trying to avoid the concept during the "Princess In The Tower" quest. The individual blatantly states that she doesn't want Aiden to save her, it must be her knight-in-shining-armor.

Timur is conducting a nighttime raid with her brother, who apparently plays the role of the dragon in this scenario. The mission might seem too simple, but Dying Light 2 offers up a twist at the end that will take gamers by surprise, regardless of what they choose to do at the end.

Locating The "Princess"

This quest-giver is located on the border of the Trinity and Horseshoe districts. Those who have captured the Willow Windmill will find that the character is so close to the windmill that she might as well be considered to be one of the workers there.

Although the quest can only be completed at night, as indicated by the map marker, it can be picked up during the day. Afterward, players will be given a prompt to automatically skip to the night if they wish. Take this offer and begin the search.

Getting To Timur

Timur's group went treasure hunting at night, usually the safest time to collect valuables, but there seems to have been a hiccup with his plan. The journey takes Aiden to northern Trinity, which will be marked on the map. Those who have been in the area will have a blue treasure location marked.

Players should take advantage of the nighttime and the scramble to arrive at the scene because this will yield a good amount of parkour experience. Unlike many treasure areas, the entrance to this one is on the roof. Head inside, collect valuables, and clear out zombies.

Making A Choice

Dying Light 2 Choosing Whether To Tell The Truth Or Lie About Timur

At the end of this excursion, Aiden will find a door that can't be opened with a zombie inside. At this point, the quest-giver's brother shows up and tells Aiden the sad truth; her fiancee has succumbed to the infection and become a zombie himself.

The decision of whether to tell her what happened or not is purely a role-playing one. If Aiden tells her the truth, she's obviously upset and the brother is disappointed. If he lies, she's still confused, but the brother will be grateful that she doesn't yet know the truth. The morality of each choice is different, but the rewards are the same.

Dying Light 2 was released on February 4th, 2022, and is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
