A vast majority of the weapons in Dying Light 2 have durability meters, and they become unusable when that meter reaches zero. While it is possible to use mods to manage durability, that method of repair is limited and will not allow players to use a weapon endlessly. There is a way to functionally give a weapon infinite durability in Dying Light 2, though, and it centers around a charm called Korek.

Dying Light 2: What is the Korek Charm

Korek is a rare charm that repairs a weapon's durability by up to 500 points when it is applied. Additionally, the charm can be equipped to any number of weapons in Dying Light 2, and it can be applied repeatedly to continually restore a weapon's durability. While this does not fully eliminate the durability mechanic, as players will still need to monitor it somewhat, the charm makes it possible to keep weapons around indefinitely.

Dying Light 2: How to Get the Korek Charm

The first step toward obtaining the Korek charm is to get on top of the VNC Tower, the tallest building in the Garrison in the Central Loop. The easiest way to reach the top of that building is to complete Dying Light 2's Broadcast story mission, as doing so activates an elevator on the first floor of the VNC Tower that can be ridden all the way up. Players can also try to use their grappling hooks to get on the roof of the VNC Tower, though that can prove to be quite difficult.

From the top of the VNC Tower, players should face southwest and glide to the roof of the building with the tall white antenna on it. There is a generator with the word "socket" written on it here, and fans should interact with it to grab a cable. With the cable in hand, Dying Light 2 players should fall off the plank on the east side of the building, dropping into the first open window. Fans should then fall once more, again dropping into the first window that they encounter.

After entering this second window, players should plug the cable that they are carrying into the nearby red generator. Action RPG fans should then walk over to the west side of the building and grab a cable from the green generator that is there. There is an opening right next to that generator, and players should use the previously outlined method to fall two more stories. Fans should then plug their cable into the red generator that is on this floor before grabbing yet another cable from a green generator at the southeast corner.

At this point, players should walk out of the opening that is directly next to the green generator, turn north, and fall off the plank, using their grappling hooks to break their fall. Fans should then turn south and fall off yet another plank, again using their grappling hooks and their parkour skills in Dying Light 2 as needed. Players should then reenter the building, plug the cable into the red generator that they encounter, and interact with the defense system panel that is next to it.

This action will allow players to open a set of double doors that are just to the right of the defense system panel, and there is special Dying Light 2 developer room through them. There is a coffee table in this room with a set of cushions around it, and fans should use their Survivor Sense to reveal the four cushions that they can sit on. Players must now sit on all of these cushions, starting with the set of cushions that has the red lantern on it and working counterclockwise, and they should stay on the fourth cushion until the Korek blueprint appears on the coffee table.

Dying Light 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, with a Switch version in development.
