Dying Light 2 Stay Human launched earlier this year to mixed reviews, but strong sales. Dying Light 2 ended up being a big sales success, selling 5 million copies by the end of February.

Developer Techland has released several updates for Dying Light 2 post its launch. Some included new weapons and gear, while others focused on more noteworthy enhancements, such as an improved fast travel system and a new game plus mode. These patches also came with bug fixes, and it looks like Dying Light 2 will continue to get updates for the foreseeable future. Techland has now detailed the next major update for the game.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human’s update 1.5 launches in a couple of weeks and adds a second seasonal chapter titled A Huntress and a Hag. According to the developers, it’s an essential part of Dying Light 2’s free post-launch content. The second seasonal chapter introduces Shen Xiu, a professional tracker and archery expert who will serve as the new Chapter Agent for this update. Players will be able to uncover more information about her, such as her background and motivations, as a part of the DLC.

The first chapter, called In the Footsteps of a Nightrunner, launched earlier in June and made some interesting new additions to the world of Dying Light 2. It came with additional missions, bounties, and timed trials, and introduced a new economy system to the game. It embraced some aspects of live-service games, as players could take on new daily and weekly challenges to earn various bonuses.

Techland has mentioned that it will share more details on the missions, bounties, enemies, and weapons coming in update 1.5 within the next few weeks. Although, it’s probably fair to expect the second chapter to follow the same design blueprint as the first story chapter for Dying Light 2. Techland also uploaded a new episode in the At the Fish Eye series, where members from the development team discuss the philosophy behind the content coming in the update.

Dying Light 2 has already received extensive post-launch content at no extra cost. After all, Techland had promised 5 years of support for Dying Light 2, and it’ll be interesting to see how well the developer manages to fulfill this commitment.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
