Not much comes easy for Aiden in Dying Light 2. As a stranger in a foreign place, he's got no favors to call in and a tidal wave of zombies to do battle with. So when Aiden receives the exact location of a safe and the code to open it, it seems too good to be true because it is.
The location isn't a problem, but the code is buried inside of a riddle. For those who want to figure out the riddle for themselves, stop reading here. For those interested in the answers, these are each of the numbers to the safe and an explanation of why. Figuring out the mystery gives gamers access to one of the best pieces of lore.
First Number: Nine
After talking to the scientist-turned-survivor and getting the mission, hustle over to the location on the map. There are a few hurdles and walls in the way, so snag some easy parkour experience while reaching the destination. Then try to figure out the riddle.
The first clue is that the number is a larger number when turned upside-down. The answer here is nine because the shape of a six, when it gets flipped over, is a nine. This is the easiest of the clues, but this is a good start. Punch it in and move to the second number.
Second Number: Seven
This second number is more of a thinker. It's an odd number that, when a letter is taken away, becomes even. Working backward, when thinking about even numbers (two, four, six, and eight), none of them are one letter away from becoming an odd number. So what gives?
Players looking to get rich in a hurry need to be able to crack safes, so don't let this trip Aiden up. The riddle is talking about the word 'even' and not even numbers. Dropping the 's' from 'seven' makes the word 'even.' Turn to seven and then get to the final number.
Third Number: Three
The final number in the riddle is the ultimate trick question. The answer comes in answering the riddle: "If twelve eggs are being brought home and all but three of them break, how many eggs remain unbroken?" Those who are too quick on the math will automatically think 'nine.'
But that's the trick; the question is asking how many remain unbroken and the question, as stated, explicitly says that all but three don't break. the number, then, is three. Type this in and enjoy a very short cutscene where Aiden tries out the old (new to him, though) technology.
