It's obvious from the first time players boot up Dying Light 2 that Techland put a lot of work into the latest release in the franchise. There are many side quests to complete skills to unlock, weapons to craft, and hidden locations to explore throughout the sequel's expansive map. There are quite a few Easter Eggs for exploration-hungry players to uncover too.

Some of these Easter Eggs come in the form of physical items or weapons that players can use and one, in particular, pays an homage to one of the most iconic platforming games out there. Dying Light 2 gamers that are diligent enough can snag a pair of sneakers that will let them Triple Jump just as Mario did in Super Mario 64. Here's where the high-flying footwear can be found.

Where To Find The It's Me... Marian! Sneakers

Players looking to Triple Jump will first need to get their hands on the It's Me... Marian! sneakers and, unfortunately, they won't be able to reach them until the second half of the game. The shoes are located in the Eastern portion of the map, a new zone that does not unlock until Aiden has progressed far enough into Dying Light 2's main storyline. Anyone that doesn't have access to this zone will need to keep progressing main story missions until it eventually unlocks.

Once players can access the Eastern side of the map, they'll need to head to the Lower Dam Ayre, In the bottom right-hand corner of the zone itself, players should come across a bandit encampment called Heron Renagados. Clearing this place out will let Aiden use it as a safe zone, making it even easier to find and retrieve the special sneakers afterward.

To the east of the new safe zone, towards the edge of the zone, there are a series of shipping containers. One container is perched high above the ground, hanging from a crane. Players will need to make their way to this crane, lockpick the door, and slip inside. Once inside, they'll need to turn on a nearby radio and then sit down on the "bed" when prompted. Near the tail end of the message that plays, a small spark of electricity will flash and a package will appear on the table nearby. Inside are the It's Me... Marian! sneakers.

Getting the sneakers from the shipping container is the hard part, as triple jumping is as easy as jumping three times consecutively. This is similar to how it was done in Super Mario 64, as Mario would hop, jump slightly higher, and then perform a backflip. Aiden replicates these actions, though it definitely looks a bit janky compared to Nintendo's flagship title.

During the third jump for each successful triple jump, the camera will quickly change to third-person to showcase Aiden pulling off a quick low-to-the-ground backflip. There doesn't appear to be much of a height difference so the shoes are definitely just an Easter Egg rather than an intense power-up. Some players may even find the shoes a bit off-putting, considering they showcase Aiden without a head during his backflip and the protagonist gives a small chuckle following a video-game-like pinging sound.
