Video games have a way of locking players in. They give away a few easy challenges and then taunt them with a final, daunting challenge. Gamers get into the mentality that they can't leave this unfinished. The Master Brewer's third and final race can do just that to fans of Dying Light 2.
The third sugar challenge has Aiden, one more time, scrambling all over the city. But it's a longer tace, far longer than the one that preceded. Don't give up! Even if players don't feel the need to get every gold medal in the game, Dying Light 2 has made this course possible at any skill level, for those who know what path to take.
Optimal Path And Times
It's not deniable that extra parkour skills lead to better times on the course. Those who have the best parkour skills will probably be able to find shortcuts not listed here. This guide is intended to get the gold medal into the hands of players of any skill level. If there's a shortcut, feel free to take it! This is simply the safest, easiest way to snag the top honors.
Checkpoint 1 - 0:26
While the temptation is to go straight and grab onto the side of the building, this pull-up animation takes way too much time off of the clock. Aiden is far better off looking to the left and taking the wire bridge across at the start.
Monkey bars aren't just a great way to rack up parkour experience in short order, they're also much faster than dropping down and climbing up. Take all three parallel monkey bars to get to the other side of the rooftop.
From here, look right and note a lower roof to hop down onto. There are two brick walls here, the one on the left is shorter and doesn't force Aiden into a full climbing animation, so take that one and get onto the second point.
Checkpoint 2 - 0:49
Continue to go straight along this rooftop and resist the urge to turn left. The point is in that direction, but it's up on a building and the street offers no quick ways to climb to it.
The easiest way to get this height is by running along a wooden ramp, onto a brick chimney, and then leaping across to the high rooftop. Now, players should have a straight shot at checkpoint number two.
Stay along this rooftop until approaching the roof with the waypoint on it. There is a rope to the right, but the angle isn't quite accurate. It's possible, but it takes too much time. Jump straight across; even a jump that doesn't land on top will snag the lip right below it. Get to the point.
Checkpoint 3 - 1:04
To the right, a long yellow ramp is begging to take Aiden to the next rooftop. Get a good running jump and take it.
From here, there is one more street to cross a nice tightrope bridge on the left will do exactly that. Climb one more story and the third point will be right there.
Checkpoint 4 - 1:18
The entire way to the fourth point is visible in a single view from the third point, but it takes making one of the most terrifying jumps the game has to offer.
The gap to the pillar in between Aiden and the point can be bridged if players target to stone arc underneath the walkway. Snag onto it, then pull up twice and drop down to the fourth checkpoint.
Checkpoint 5 - 1:43
Again, going straight to the point is going to take Aiden down a street that is tough to climb up from. Use the bridge on the right, jump to the roof (use the pipe if necessary) and make a sharp left.
A lamppost gives Aiden access to the next rooftop. Getting to the very top will require two pull-ups, but it will be worth it for the next leap required.
The far corner of this roof gives Aiden the distance he needs to jump and snag onto the corner of the building with the fifth checkpoint on it. Scramble up the roof and step onto the waypoint.
Checkpoint 6 - 1:43
Time is winding down, but thankfully there is no need to fret. The finish line is coming up soon and the big payday for completing all three races yields a great deal of cash right away. Hop onto the short brick wall, take the yellow ramp across and the sixth point is very nearby.
Checkpoint 7 - 2:03
True electrical lines meet up in the middle of the street. Tightrope along these two paths and then dash left to get to the seventh point.
Checkpoint 8 - 2:29
Run straight and use a ventilation shaft and a brick chimney to get to the next rooftop. Then start sprinting to the right.
Jump and land on top of a conditioning unit, then leap on top of the green structure. Going right or left around it works too, but the unit should allow Aiden to take this more direct path.
The end is now in sight and it's all downhill. Lead to the opposing conditioner (much larger than the one just used to lead up from) and head directly to the point, obstacle-free.
Do not forget to talk to the Brewer master after getting gold in all three races. Collect the prize and put this series of parkour races to rest.
Dying Light 2 was released on February 4th, 2022, and is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
