The Master Brewer offers three parkour courses for Dying Light 2 enthusiasts and considering the universal popularity of the movement in the game, players have a good reason to be excited. Gamers love a good challenge that encourages them to improve on their personal best times.
However, it's becoming clear that many players have a personal best that isn't quite high enough to hit the gold on the first course. Whether someone is a Dying Light 2 completionist or just looking for some rewards and experience, this guide should be able to guide everyone, amateur to expert, to a gold medal.
Optimal Path And Times
Although players who are pushing for the most incredible time the community has ever seen will certainly need access to some of the best parkour skills around, the intent of this guide is to get the gold to anybody at any skill level, in-game or otherwise. Follow along and keep pace with these timers for the top honors!
Checkpoint 1 - 0:28
Although the first point isn't close, players can see a substantial part of the journey right away. Go up the ramp, car, and truck, then leap onto a street light. This leads to a small jump onto a rooftop. That rooftop has a think wire bridge that crosses the street and onto another rooftop.
The right side looks enticing, with its high ground, and while it can be a place for players to power level their parkour experience meter, there is no convenient way over to the point without taking a bad fall. Aiden will have to climb several brick walls on the left path, but it's better than climbing the entire building.
Checkpoint 2 - 0:53
There is going to be a very quick left U-turn here that is best viewed while first approaching the first checkpoint. Obscured by trees, there are two thin construction bridges that go back across the building.
Take these down across this rooftop.
There is a thin bridge that takes players across the street. Then go right and jump up the wall. Players should rightfully be aware that climbing usually isn't the quickest way up, but there are another two brick walls to scale here. Some paths have fewer pull-ups, but they are less direct and, ultimately, take longer.
From here, the only thing to do is hurdle between a hole in some unfinished construction work and land on the second point.
Checkpoint 3 - 1:39
Turn left and spot an opening in the fence on the rooftop below. Hop down and head through. There is some valuable loot in the building on the other side for those looking to get rich quick, but this is a race against the clock, so save it for later.
An overhang on the left allows players to scramble along the side of the building. Aiden will have to lift himself up eventually, but the inclined roof is faster to get up than the flat side.
Turn left and start heading for the building across the street.
This part is the trickiest part of the course. Use the yellow ramp to get across without falling down. Jump onto a monkey bar, but instead of swinging across, use the bar to swing vertically, as high as Aiden can possibly go. Aiden will snag onto the lip of the roof.
There is some barbed wire here, but it's for cosmetic purposes only. It does not prevent progress and, after running this course a few times, it didn't even do damage to Aiden. Go right over it and climb the fence that it is blocking.
From here, there are many structures to block Aiden, but just left of the junk is a perfect path without any objects at all. Hop down and land on the third checkpoint.
Checkpoint 4 - 2:20
Continue to go straight across this building, heading just to the right of the next waypoint. The path straight there leads off a cliff and dead racers don't tend to rank very well.
The game attempts to fool gamers by having a rope swing at the end of this rooftop. It's at a terrible angle and Aiden would have to vastly change his running pattern to get a good swing off of it. Don't do it. The opposing rooftop might look far away, but it is well within Aiden's reach if he goes straight for it. Sprint left and step into the fourth checkpoint.
Checkpoint 5 - 2:20
The entire way to the fifth checkpoint is visible just before arriving at the fourth point. There are some monkey bars and ramps that lead to the top of a roof.
Take it slow, there is plenty of time left and Aiden's stamina will be quite low after getting to the top of the building. If players aren't perfectly on top of the roof and he's out of energy, he won't be able to get back up and fall off right before completing the race.
Checkpoint 6 - 2:​​​​​49
The final point is about 100 meters away, but it's thankfully all downhill. Jump down onto a chimney and then down again to land on a grassy rooftop.
Two monkey bars lead to another rooftop. Swing across them both and land on the other side.
Final stretch! The log will take players up just enough to jump to the top of a high brick wall. After a few meters, look down on the right and the final checkpoint will be sitting in a garbage truck. Land right on top of it. Don't worry about damage, a mattress is there to cushion the fall.
