After its predecessor got almost a full decade's worth of free post-launch DLC, Dying Light 2: Stay Human seems to be going in a similar direction with free goodies dropping in every so often. Developer Techland, has just announced the release of the second portion of the free Authority DLC, allowing players to dress up as one of the Peacekeepers. While the long-term plans for Dying Light 2 DLC are still a tad murky, the fact that Techland is already pushing out armor sets just a few weeks after the game's launch should be a good sign of what's to come. Specifically, this particular piece of downloadable content is part 2 out of 3 that make up the Authority Pack DLC itself, and it should complete the Peacekeeper look well enough.RELATED: Dying Light 2 Trick Lets Players Get Through Locked Doors EasilyWhile there's no telling just yet what Authority's 3rd DLC pack will include, it's worth pointing out that the latest lineup includes three more "Intimidating" items. Specifically, players who claim this DLC will get a pair of gauntlets, a windbreaker, and some leather guards. Combined with Dying Light 2 Authority DLC pack 1, which came with a jacket, cargo pants, and high-top sneakers, it's easy enough to look good while fighting off volatile zombies.

It has previously been announced that the third part of Dying Light 2 Authority DLC will include one entirely new weapon, presumably the two-handed hammer-looking monstrosity that was featured in the DLC announcement trailer. Not a huge list of content in total, then, but a neat addition for players that want something new to play around with.

The official website also lists a number of Dying Light 1 throwbacks that players can claim. It wouldn't be too weird to see even more fan-favorite items from the original game to make a return. Alternatively, it's entirely possible that Techland intends to offer a Scavenger-focused three-part DLC now that the Peacekeeper faction is covered. Either way, an official announcement is bound to be coming soon enough, as the plan seems to be for the developer to continue releasing new DLC for free every so often.

Of course, if armor and weapon DLC isn't good enough, players can also reach out to the community for some extra tweaks and customizations. The Dying Light 2 modding scene is in its budding phase right now, and there are ways for players to enhance the game's graphics, make it run better, and even change the core progression systems however they see fit.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series platforms, with the Nintendo Switch version in active development.
