Only developers like Techland would be so bold as to include an Easter egg within an Easter egg in Dying Light 2. Fans of the game have now found that they have received a special blueprint alluding to another franchise after completing the secret Doom level in Dying Light 2.

In order to reach the secret Doom level in Dying Light 2, players must first collect 5 black rubber ducks scattered around the map. For the next part of the Easter egg to be completed, players must have finished the main quest called Broadcast, as the secret chamber is located in the building where the quest takes place. Once all the black ducks have been collected a door that was previously locked will now be open, allowing players access to the Doom-themed chamber.

In the chamber, players must place the black ducks on the 5 pedestals in the middle of the room and then connect the cables behind the pedestals to the sockets on the opposite wall. If done correctly, the "Ka Doom Shotgun" will appear in the room, and once players interact with it, they will need to complete a challenge. The challenge requires the player to collect 5 items before time runs out while fending off zombies with the shotgun. Under one of the items is the Dying Force blueprint.

This blueprint allows players to craft the unique ranged weapon that will give them the ability to telekinetically lift enemies in the air, causing them to grab at their own throats. The weapon does little damage but gives players the opportunity to kill their enemies while they are suspended in midair.

Dying Force is not the only Easter egg weapon in the game, as Dying Light 2 also includes a finger gun called the Left Finger of gloVa. The finger gun takes around 369 scrap to craft and can only fire around 16 rounds before breaking. This is most likely due to how overpowered the weapon can be.

Another Easter egg weapon in Dying Light 2 is the Cyberhands 2177, which bears a striking resemblance to the Mantis Blades, a weapon from Cyberpunk 2077.

Techland also went out of its way to include a Super Mario 64 Easter egg in Dying Light 2. The original game famously included a Super Mario Bros. Easter egg, and now the sequel has followed suit. Once the Easter egg is complete, players will gain access to the "It's Me...Marian!" common sneakers, allowing them to triple jump.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S with a Switch version also in development.
