After the tutorial section of Dying Light 2, players get access to a whole city. There are many points on the map beckoning players to explore, but perhaps the most enticing is the one just southwest of Aiden's starting position. It's a boss fight with the not-so-memorable name GRE Anomaly C-A-22.
The good news is that players can beat this boss at their starting level without any particularly important skills or upgrades. The bad news is that they will probably die a few times trying to figure out how. But there is more good news! Dying Light 2 players that read this guide won't be tripped up in the slightest.
Time And Place
Those who are itching for a boss fight will want to make their way to the central-southern region of Houndfield. Those who have captured the Alder Windmill will be pleasantly surprised to find that the jaunt is not that far from this home base.
The boss won't be around until the nighttime so use a bed at the windmill to speed things along if it is daytime. Aiden should be able to finish the fight and be back before infection sets in, but players who want to have a leg up should bring an immunity booster and a strong weapon.
Kill The Zombie Adds
The boss will leap around rapidly, not letting Aiden get more than one or two strikes in if he approaches. When it leaps away, Aiden should take care of the zombies that get summoned periodically. They are good for gaining combat experience, but they also serve as handy shields.
The anomaly will leap around and shoot fire bolts that are somewhat easy to dodge. But the smart move is to position Aiden so that the zombies are in between the boss and himself. The zombie will end up getting hit by the fireballs and make Aiden's job easier.
Get In Close
After the final zombie falls, the boss will melt down for a few seconds, allowing Aiden to do damage without having to worry about the horde or the anomaly attacking him. At this time, the boss has no protection, so all focus should be on damage.
This stun is strong but not eternal, so it will take a few rounds of killing zombies and attacking the boss, but once that dance has been mastered, it's only a matter of time until it goes down. Don't forget to claim the winnings from the truck that unlocks only after the boss falls.
