Too often, video games make safe codes way too simple. There is some sticky note with the answer just a few feet away or an e-mail with everything blatantly spelled out or a radio where careless grunts have conversations with their superiors and can't help but make that discussion all about the latest code. Dying Light 2 isn't that ham-fisted.
But that's not to say that Dying Light 2 makes it impossible to open safes either. Much of the time, the answer is right there, but it requires some thought. How To Deduce The Answer
There is a room next to the safe itself that holds the answer. For those who have arrived here because they're helping Scott get the necklace, the clue is on the sofa next to the body that has the legitimate necklace. It's a picture of a child having a birthday. There are some zombies to clear out for some fast combat experience, so do that before staring at photographs.
There is a date on the lower righthand side of the photograph to pay attention to. And look at the candle on the cake. Gamers will need to put these two elements together and get a full safe code. Keep in mind that these codes often reflect momentous occasions.
Safe Code Answer: 11-11-19
To arrive at the answer, the date on the photograph is 11-11-21. But people don't make codes based on the day they took a photograph. The candle on the cake reads "2." Since people do make codes that might reflect their child's date of birth, players can now figure out the date the baby was born.
By taking two years off of the photograph date, the new number is 11-11-19. This is indeed the code that the safe owner decided to establish. Crack it open and have at the reward: a sack full of coins. Cold, hard cash might not be the most exciting thing to lock up, but it's just as helpful as any weapon!
