While a majority of the offensive tools in Dying Light 2 are melee weapons, there are a number of ranged options that players can use. For instance, fans can get their hands on a bow and arrows, which can prove to be quite useful in a variety of situations. For those players that would like to obtain a bow in Dying Light 2, details on exactly where these ranged weapons come from can be found in this guide.

Dying Light 2: Where to Get Bow and Arrows

The most straightforward way to get a bow is to put some effort toward tackling story missions in Dying Light 2. Indeed, fans will receive the Pipe Bow as a reward for completing the Let's Waltz story mission, which is issued around the game's midpoint. Players will also receive a blueprint for standard arrows at the end of Let's Waltz, allowing them to craft that particular ammunition from 10 Scraps and 1 Feathers.

Bows can also be looted around the map or purchased from vendors on occasion. These two options are not as reliable as the Let's Waltz story mission, though, and fans should not count on obtaining their first ranged weapon from either of them. Even still, there is no harm to be done by diligently looting and checking vendors, and some Dying Light 2 fans will undoubtedly be rewarded for their efforts with an early bow.

To note, there are arrows beyond the aforementioned standard variety, and players can obtain blueprints for them from Craftmasters. These special arrows can do things like apply fire, shock, or toxic to enemies that they hit, making them good sources for additional damage. Craftmasters will not hand over special arrow blueprints for free, though, and fans should make sure to stockpile money in Dying Light 2 if they are interested in gaining the ability to craft all the different types.

One final thing to mention is that the Pipe Bow that is awarded upon completion of the Let's Waltz story mission is certainly not the only type of ranged weapon in the game. In fact, players will pick up a more powerful bow in a later story mission, and they will come across even better options if they spend some time exploring. Fans can also add a crossbow to their arsenals, though that does require that four facilities be assigned to the Peacekeepers in Dying Light 2.

Dying Light 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, with a Switch version in development.
