The Pan of Destiny is a fairly unique weapon in Dying Light 2, as it is a frying pan that functions like a boomerang. More specifically, players that throw the Pan of Destiny at an enemy will find that it comes right back to them, and while it is certainly not the most powerful weapon in the game, it can be quite fun to use. For those players that would like to try out the boomerang frying pan in Dying Light 2 for themselves, details on how to obtain its blueprint can be found in this guide.

Dying Light 2: How to Get Pan of Destiny

Players that are interested in obtaining the Pan of Destiny should put their primary focus on beating Dying Light 2. Indeed, fans must complete all the story quests before they can access the boomerang frying pan blueprint, which means that the weapon is only to be used in the post-game. Notably, players should be able to complete the main story in around 20 hours if they are willing to skip a lot of the optional content.

After finishing the game, fans should make their way to the large building at the southeast corner of the Newfound Lost Lands. There is a furnished room inside this building, which has a chicken poster next to its entrance, and Dying Light 2 players must reach it. While that can be done in a number of ways, here is a path that should lead fans directly to the room:

  • Approach the building from the southeast by crossing the wood slat bridge.
  • Enter through the opening that is just past that bridge and continue to the room with the long dining table.
  • Open the panel on the ground, drop into the water, and swim southeast to a ladder.
  • Climb that ladder, turn 180 degrees at the top, and climb a second ladder.
  • Grab the yellow pipe to the left of the second ladder, shimmy to its end, and drop.
  • Turn right, walk up the two small flights of stairs, and follow the path to the room.

Upon arriving in the room, players should interact with the chicken in the cage. This action will ultimately initiate a side quest in Dying Light 2 called Space Cock, which tasks fans with finding a spaceship part. The waypoint that is provided in-game should make tracking down this part quite easy, and players must bring it back to the chicken when they have collected it.

As soon as the spaceship part has been taken to the chicken, players will receive indication that they have completed the Space Cock side quest. Fans will also see the blueprint for the Pan of Destiny appear on the table next to the cage, and they should pick it up and use 369 Scraps to craft the boomerang frying pan. From there, players will be free to start using this secret weapon in Dying Light 2 at their convenience.

Dying Light 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, with a Switch version in development.
