Dying Light 2 Stay Human is the anticipated sequel to the first Dying Light and came out a couple of weeks ago. Even though the game is still fresh from release, Dying Light 2 has been able to find its audience among fans of the original game and new players.

Now that the game is out, developer and publisher Techland announced that Dying Light 2 will receive its first piece of DLC today. This will come as part of the Authority Pack DLC, which will release a new set of gear players can equip that's based on the authoritative Peacekeepers faction from the game. The Authority Pack DLC will release in three parts with three sets of gear, and everything in it will be downloadable for free.

Recently, a trailer for Dying Light 2's Authority Pack DLC was released promoting the new DLC gear, which includes the first set of gear from the DLC. The first set of items from the Authority Pack includes the Intimidating Jacket, Intimidating Cargo Pants, and the Intimidating High-Tops sneakers. Players can download and equip all three of these items for free in Dying Light 2.

With the release of the first set of items from the Authority Pack, it's only a matter of time before players will be able to collect the full set. Based on the Authority Pack trailer, the second part of DLC will include mask-like headgear, bracers to wear on the arms, and gloves. The third part of the DLC is a large hammer-like weapon that players will be able to use in the game, and wearing all of this together will complete the Peacekeepers armor set.

While this batch of free DLC isn't a game-changer, it is the beginning of what players can expect to come from Techland for Dying Light 2. This past January, Techland previously announced that Dying Light 2 will have 5-year support with new content added to the game. Techland made a Twitter post stating it would be supporting Dying Light 2 with post-launch content in the form of new items, stories, in-game events, new locations, and other "fun stuff" for players that will be added in the next few years.

Techland has demonstrated that it can support a game after its initial launch with the DLC for the first Dying Light. It was able to support that game with a mixture of both paid and free DLC for players to enjoy, including expansions like The Following. For now, players can look forward to getting the new set of Peacekeepers-inspired gear in Dying Light 2.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A Switch version is also in development.
