With the new Dungeons and Dragons movie out in just a few months, more light has been shed on what filmgoers can expect when Honor Among Thieves hits the big screen. A new Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves trailer answers some questions fans might have had about the upcoming flick, including who the "big bad" is going to be.

Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves hits theaters in March and brings a pretty star-studded cast, including Chris Pine as the leader of a crew of thieves who stole an old relic that, when it fell into the wrong hands, creates chaos in the film's world. It's up to Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, and Sophia Lillis to try and defeat the people who now hold the artifact and save the world.

The new Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves trailer released by Paramount Pictures finally shows interested fans who the heroes in Honor Among Thieves will be fighting, and it turns out the Red Wizards of Thay are the main antagonists. The Red Wizards used the stolen artifact to harness the power to raise the dead to form an army. That army is rampaging over all that is good and right in this Dungeons and Dragons world.

The new trailer also showed that Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is aiming to be funny. The filmmakers have previously talked about how they were inspired by how the MCU manages to combine laughs with great action, and the new trailer invokes a feeling of something like Thor: Ragnarok. It's been clear since the first trailer that comedy was included in this new Dungeons and Dragons movie, but the latest preview shows how hard the film is leaning into laughs.

Knowing that comedy plays at least some part in Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, some people were more than a little nervous the movie would go too far towards goofy. However, the trailer clarifies that there will be plenty of fighting, the walking dead and fun monsters, and dragons.

The big question now is how much the backlash against Wizards of the Coast might affect the film's success at the box office. More than a few D&D fans have called for a boycott of Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves arrives in theaters on March 31, 2023.
