Now, Dungeons and Dragons has gotten into the spirit of the exciting launch by releasing some digital products on D&D Beyond inspired by Baldur’s Gate 3. The free bundle includes a digital dice set players can use on D&D Beyond, as well as some stylish character sheets for each of the six Origin companions in Baldur’s Gate 3. Players can claim these free assets on their D&D Beyond accounts.

The digital dice is a stunning blue and silver, featuring the Larian Studios logo in place of the natural 20 on the d20. The character sheets, on the other hand, have a colorful design that borrows graphics directly from Baldur’s Gate 3. Each of the six Origin companions is stated up at first level, with all of their abilities, gear, and backstory laid out in an easy-to-read fashion. Players can easily play these characters in their own games, or Dungeon Masters can have them show up in their own Dungeons and Dragons campaigns as NPCs.

Needless to say, players were charmed by these gorgeous D&D Beyond products. Fans often get a kick out of when Dungeons and Dragons makes stats for characters from other media, such as the stat blocks for the cast of Honor Among Thieves. The design of the character sheets is so excellent that some fans hope D&D Beyond releases a blank or form-fillable version for them to use on their original Baldur’s Gate 3 or Dungeons and Dragons characters.

Baldur’s Gate 3 uses a faithful video game recreation of the 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons rules. Though it streamlines several mechanics for the sake of being a video game, it is otherwise a nearly-perfect adaptation of 5th Edition, and will likely be the go-to method for playing Dungeons and Dragons without actually getting together for D&D sessions. Baldur’s Gate 3 will undoubtedly attract more players to the classic TTRPG system–and luckily, Dungeons and Dragons is working on a user-friendly update to the core rules in 2024.

Baldur's Gate 3 is out now on PC and will come out on September 6 for PS5. An Xbox version is in development.
