Dungeons and Dragons recently revealed the 2022 Adventure Calendar, an advent calendar with free goodies for players and dungeon masters everywhere. Through the Adventure Calendar, Dungeons and Dragons will be giving away free stuff every day of December until Christmas.

The 2022 Adventure Calendar was revealed on December 5, and will run through December 24. Interested players can go to the Adventure Calendar website through D&D Beyond and discover what is behind each door as the month progresses, and can easily access any doors unlocked on previous days.

The first Adventure Calendar giveaway was the Monstrous Compendium Volume 2: Dragonlance Creatures. This free supplement has 11 stat blocks for creatures found in the new Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon QueenDungeons and Dragons sourcebook. The compendium gives a taste of the terrifying creatures players can face in the new book, including the walrus-like Thanoi, a powerful priest of the Dragon Queen, and a unique red dragon named Ember.

Day two of the Adventure Calendar is a 10% off coupon for the Dungeons and Dragons-themed board games available from The OP Games. Also known as USAopoly, the board game company is well-known for its many pop culture versions of popular games like Monopoly and Clue. Players using this coupon can get a Dungeons and Dragons version of Yahtzee, Trivial Pursuit, Clue, or Monopoly.

Though only two of the Adventure Calendar rewards have been revealed at press time, players can have a pretty good guess as to what the rest of the calendar will have in store for them. Players can probably expect more coupons and discounts, as well as things like wallpapers, trailers, and other media. If they are lucky, Dungeons and Dragons will drop more player content like the Monstrous Compendium, or surprise players with sneak peaks at other upcoming Dungeons and Dragons releases.

In the meantime, players can experiment with the new Clerics and Species Unearthed Arcana from the One D&D playtest. This new content is free for all players, and is a part of the ongoing playtest for One D&D–the evergreen evolution of 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons. The most recent Unearthed Arcana has a revamp for the Cleric class and introduces reworks for several playable species in the game. The terrifying creatures found within the Dragonlance Monster Compendium will be the perfect monsters to throw against their parties while trying out the new One D&D playtest material
