Media Molecule made a name for itself with the LittleBigPlanet franchise, but the PS4-exclusive Dreams looks even more ambitious. Providing robust creation tools that make it possible for talented creators to recreate games like Dead Space or even make their own battle royales, Dreams is looking to take user-generated content to the next level. And now those looking forward to Dreams can play it a little early, as the Dreams early access version is now available.

Dreams early access is called Dreams Creator Early Access on the PlayStation Store, and it's available at a budget price of $30. Anyone that purchases the early access version of Dreams will automatically be upgraded to the full version once it becomes available, so those planning to pick up the game may want to seriously consider getting in on the early access action while they still can.

Dreams early access will be available in limited quantities, so once a certain number of people have purchased Dreams in early access, the game will be unavailable for purchase again until its official launch. Despite this, some may be hesitant to purchase Dreams in early access as they may not be quite sold on Media Molecule's newest project, and they may also not want to buy the game without all of its features.

dreams how to get early access

Dreams early access is missing some of the features that will be available in the main game. The biggest exemption is the story mode, though other features aren't available as well. These features will be added to Dreams early access by Media Molecule as we near the full release date, though, so Dreams early access purchasers will still be able to test them out before everyone else.

Those that pick up Dreams in early access will have access to all of the creations made during the Dreams beta. This means that even those who aren't great at using the creation tools should still be able to squeeze some enjoyment out of the game as they wait for the story mode and more to be added.

Media Molecule will no doubt be using feedback from the Dreams early access period to improve on the game even more before its official launch. Fans can expect a release date for Dreams in the coming months.

Dreams is out now in early access, exclusively for PS4.
