Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been rated by the Saudi Arabia ratings board, indicating that it may be released soon. The original Dragon’s Dogma is one of the better action-RPGs out there, and fans have been eager to know more about the sequel since its announcement, but no official release date has been confirmed by Capcom.

Capcom announced Dragon’s Dogma 2 last year, and a lot of information about the game has been revealed since then. So far, Dragon Dogma 2’s trailers and gameplay footage have teased a beautiful, sprawling world, destructible environments, several new enemies, and combat sequences that resemble its predecessor.

Now, official age ratings from the Saudi Arabia rating board have been spotted. In a tweet made by the agency, it’s possible to read “The return of one of the most anticipated games after an absence of 10 years. Dragon Dogma 2 is rated suitable for ages 18 and above.” It’s uncommon for games to receive age ratings long before they’re out, so this could be a hint that Dragon Dogma 2 will be out soon.

Capcom revealed plans to release a major title in early 2024, which corroborates the possibility of fans seeing the open-world RPG soon. The announcement was made as part of an investor’s meeting, which confirmed that one major title would be released before the end of the fiscal year, which ends in March 2024. This game could potentially be Dragon’s Dogma 2, but that's just speculation at this time.

Several elements of Dragon’s Dogma 2 have been unveiled so far, hinting that the development of the title may be reaching its final stages. For instance, it was already revealed that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will introduce a new race called Beastrans, which will play an important role in the story, and that the game world will be four times larger than the first entry in the series. Also, the game’s director Hideaki Itsuno has recently confirmed that while the main inspiration of the developers is the first entry in the franchise, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is also inspired by Grand Theft Auto 5. Itsuno claimed that Rockstar’s title had very lifelike NPCs that acted independently of the player and that he wanted to create a similar world experience for the upcoming RPG.
