Dragon's Dogma 2 developer Capcom has shipped out another update for the game, adding quality-of-life additions to in-game storage, new setting options, and a series of bug fixes. This also marks the second time Dragon's Dogma 2 has received an update in the span of a month.

The previous Dragon's Dogma 2 patch, which was rolled out on May 31, brought a significant upgrade to the player's storage, bumping up the maximum limit by three times. The latest update further improves this particular aspect of the game by introducing a slew of changes, giving players better control of their inventory.

Dragon's Dogma 2 Has Huge Crossover Potential with Another Capcom Franchise

If Dragon's Dogma 2 has any big updates coming down the line, it can't miss the chance to partner with a certain other Capcom franchise.

Among the various Dragon's Dogma 2 storage enhancements, the most important one is perhaps the increase in the maximum number of items of one kind that players can store, which has gone up from 99 to 999. Moreover, Dragon's Dogma 2 players can now sell items or equip armor without leaving the storage menu. Equipping armor from the storage menu also works when the player is in a vocation guild and is changing their vocation. When a player attempts to store items that cross the maximum limit, the game will now adjust to ensure the maximum number of items allowed is automatically retained in storage.

Apart from storage menu changes, the Japanese developer has also added some new options to the settings menu. Under the graphics settings, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players can find the toggle to choose quality between high and low. There's also an option to enable or disable 120Hz output for the players on console. For players who want to capture in-game moments, the photo mode finally allows removing the protagonist from view in a change that is consistent across all platforms.

On top of that, there are several adjustments and bug fixes included in this update that should iron out the creases for Dragon's Dogma 2's huge playerbase. For instance, devs have made tweaks to make oxcarts more common to spot in the field. They have also fixed the issue that made certain items, such as Ring of Predominance, impossible to obtain. A performance issue where the framerate would go down when visiting an area with a high number of NPCs has also been resolved. Several more bug fixes have been addressed in the latest patch notes.

Back in March, Dragon's Dogma 2 came out to a rabid response, garnering positive reviews and posting impressive sales numbers. Fortunately, the action RPG's launch coincided with a strong financial period for Capcom, helping it reach new heights in company history. Selling millions of copies, Dragon's Dogma 2 also went on to become one of the top-grossing games in Q1 2024 across all platforms.
