Dragon's Dogma 2 Review
Dragon's Dogma 2 is everything fans could want from a Dragon's Dogma sequel, but that also means it has a few rough edges.
Dragon's Dogma 2 features numerous systems that aren't fully explained to the player, and it can be confusing for those looking for a straightforward RPG experience. In the same vein as games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring, its open world doesn't hold the player's hand. If you are having a hard time with Dragon's Dogma 2, or need help understanding an aspect of the game, check the guides below to see if we have a solution for you.
This complete guide to Dragon's Dogma 2 is a work in progress and will be continuously updated as we continue to cover the game.

Pawn System Guides
Arguably the most iconic feature of Dragon's Dogma 2 and its predecessor is the Pawn system. Completely unique to the Dragon's Dogma franchise, Pawns are the loyal AI-driven followers who obey the Arisen's every command and form the rest of the adventuring party. Every player gets a Main Pawn and can hire two more Pawns from the Rift, which can learn and share information related to quests, exploration, and combat strategies.
These guides go over the basics of the Pawn system in DD2, why you should take advantage of it, and how to customize them to fit your party's needs.

Locations & Quest Walkthroughs
Though the vast majority of Dragon's Dogma 2 takes place in the green hills of Vermund and deserts of Battahl, that doesn't mean there's a lack of places to explore and quests to take on. Exploration is a main feature of DD2 and properly exploring the map reveals a lot of secrets. And while the main quest is relatively short and simple, there are tons of side quests that are worth following through to earn unique items, gear, and other rewards – like a house.
These guides go over how to get to some of the game's most important and hidden locations, and offer walkthroughs of some of the game's most troublesome main and side quests, sorted by location.

Bosses & Combat
While wandering around the wildernesses of Dragon's Dogma 2 bosses are regular obstacles. From relatively simple Ogres to fearsome Drakes, the Arisen can hardly walk a few miles without a boss HP bar popping up – or without running into a random pack of enemies. Knowing how to beat bosses, and how to efficiently take part in combat, can mean all the difference in getting to your destination quickly and unharmed or barely making it on low HP.
These guides explain basic boss and enemy combat strategies, the essentials of combat, and go over how to cure status effects and conditions that may be inflicted in a fight.

Weapons & Gear
While progressing through the world of Dragon's Dogma 2, you will need to continuously upgrade your weapons and acquire new gear to make it through tougher, later-game challenges. Equipment can be upgraded with specific materials harvested from enemies and the open world, but acquiring the best gear in the game can be a bit more involved – and usually means spending a lot of money.
These Dragon's Dogma 2 guides go over how equipment works in the game, how to upgrade gear and get materials for upgrades, and how to get some of the best weapons and armor pieces.

Other Items & Miscellaneous Guides
In addition to collecting weapons and armor, the Arisen needs to use a variety of consumables, currencies, and other unique items to finish quests and explore effectively. Seeker's Tokens, for example, reward a number of items at the Vocation Guild, and it's worth hunting down as many as you can for some great late-game rewards.
The guides below go over some of the most useful items in the game, like recipes, Ferrystones and Camping Kits, as well as how to get key items like Dye, the DCP currency, and other unique items.
