Moving outside of cities and villages can be brutal in Dragon’s Dogma 2. At any second, you can find yourself against a giant beast or a horde of enemies that can take your HP to dangerous levels. You can find Camping Kits in curative stores and buy them for a relatively small price compared to other items in Dragon’s Dogma 2. You can also come across some Camping Kits in Chests or lying around during your travels. Other players online might also gift your Dragon's Dogma 2 Pawn a Camping Kit once they dismiss them from their team.

In general, it’s very easy to own a Modest Camping Kit in Dragon’s Dogma 2. As for variety, there are multiple kinds of Camping Kits with different price ranges. Basically, each Camping Kit serves a purpose, and the better the purpose, the higher the price.

When traveling in the wild, you can check the map to search for a fireplace icon. Usually, fireplaces are located next to rivers and bridges and can sometimes overcrowd an area. The fireplace means you can set up your camp here tonight, or during the day, if you’re a night crawler. Traveling at night is more dangerous as enemies can lurk in the dark, which makes it important to be vigilant and travel with sufficient preparation, like remembering to enhance your equipment in Dragon's Dogma 2.

When setting up a Camp in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll have to approach the fireplace and access it to choose which type of Camp you want to set up. The type of Camp you can set up is based on which Camping Kit you own at this point. However, be careful before using your Camping Kits.

Clearing the surrounding area before setting up the Camp is essential to eliminate the threat of any ambush that could damage your Camping Kits. Getting ambushed may result in losing the Camping Kit, and if it is the only one, you’ll have to continue your journey in the wild without being able to Camp, which can be exhausting and tedious. So, going out with more than one Camping Kit is always recommended.
