The Elf village is a mystery to the people of Vernworth as stumbling upon Elves isn’t exactly that common in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Players need to explore the upper part of Vermund thoroughly to find the hidden Elf village.
Alas, discovering the village is not enough, as the Sacred Arbor citizens only communicate in Elvish. It’s a foreign language that not many can speak. So, even if the Arisen found a way to reach the village, all conversations and writings will be in Elvish, unless players add a certain Pawn to their party. Here's how players can find the Elf's settlement and how to speak Elvish in Dragon's Dogma 2.

Dragon's Dogma 2: Grand Riftstone Of Vermund’s Secret Treasure (Silver Rapier, Savant's Boots, And Ferrystone)
Dragon's Dogma 2 players can find Silver Rapier early in the game by discovering a secret treasure in the vicinity of Grand Riftstone of Vermund.
How To Reach The Elf Village In Dragon’s Dogma 2
To reach the Elf village, players must journey northwest from the capital of Vermund, Vernworth. Keep following the main road until you encounter a crossroad. Cross the river and continue going deeper inside the forest until you reach the Sacred Arbor.
Players will encounter all types of monsters, big and small, while trying to reach the Elf Village. So make sure to have a strong Pawn team in Dragon’s Dogma 2 to make the journey easier.
Upon reaching Sacred Arbor, there will be many spots Arisen can visit inside the village, which are:
- Weapon Enhancement shop that uses the Elven smithing style, which focuses on boosting Magick and Magick Def
- The same Elf also sells some armor and weapons
- Another Elf in the same shop offers some Curatives for purchase
- An Inn to rest and manage storage in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Sadly, nothing will make sense unless you bring a Pawn with a certain Specialization.
How To Talk To Elves In Dragon’s Dogma 2
To talk to Elves in Dragon's Dogma 2, you need to search for a Pawn that has the Woodland Wordsmith Specialization. It allows them to speak with Elves and understand the language, then translate to their Master. After that, if you wish to buy anything or stay at the Inn, everything will be translated.
There are two methods to invite a Pawn in Dragon’s Dogma 2 that possesses this Specialization; search in Riftstones or speak with random Pawns found during exploration. The first method is quicker since there are official Pawns that, you can hire for free, and they match your level. Additionally, there is a Riftstone at the Sacred Arbor, so you can get a Pawn from the Elf village immediately.
As for finding one randomly, it’s more likely to stumble upon one along the path of the Sacred Arbor. You might even find one inside the Elf village walking around. However, it's not a guaranteed method, so it's advised to stick with the Riftstone one.
