Highlights

  • Finding the right daggers is crucial for building a strong Thief in Dragon's Dogma 2.
  • Dragon's Vein and Heaven's Key are top-tier daggers for Thieves in the game.
  • Dowsing Spikes, Crimson Teeth, Framae Blades, and Frosted Edges are also valuable options for Thieves.

Thieves are one of the strongest Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2. As the Vocation name suggests, they use trickery and light steps to fade away from enemies’ hits while they’re able to deliver deadly blows. Of course, to make the most of what a class can offer, building Thieves, whether for your Arisen or your main Pawn, is a must.

The first step to building a good Thief is finding a nice pair of daggers that can cut through enemies like butter. Luckily, there are a lot of good daggers spread throughout the map that can add quality to any Thief in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

There’s no doubt that Dragon's Vein and Heaven's Key are on the top tier of daggers in Dragon’s Dogma 2. If they were available in the main walkthrough of the game, they’re definitely a must-have for any Arisen or Pawn that has the Thief Vocation. Heaven's Key is by far the best weapon for Thieves, since it gives its users an astonishing amount of stats for everything; Strength, Magick, Knockdown Power, and Holy damage. Everything works together perfectly to shape these top-tier daggers. Heaven's Key daggers in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are available for sale in most vendors’ inventory once you jump into the post-game area. They cost 68000 Gold and can be sold for 22670.

On the other hand, the Dragon's Vein daggers have the highest Strength in Dragon’s Dogma 2. They’re also available in the endgame content but are not as easy to find as Heaven's Key. To get them, you have to travel to the Bay Wayside Shrine and talk to The Dragonforged. This NPC doesn’t take Gold but sells for Wyrmslife Crystals. To get Dragon's Vein, you have to slay many, many dragons since it will cost 110 Wyrmslife Crystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Dowsing Spikes are daggers you can get when you collect over 30 Seeker’s Tokens in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Simply go and submit the Seeker’s Tokens to any Vocations Guild on the map to collect the rewards. Dowsing Spikes can be considered early-game weapons for Thieves if players commit to collecting the needed Seeker’s Tokens. While it’s not easy to collect 30, it’s definitely manageable in the early game.

Crimson Teeth are daggers found while exploring Sal'Battahl Cavern in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The daggers are hidden within a treasure chest protected by a Sinister Beast called Garm. The treasure chest and the Sinister Beast aren’t far deep inside the Sal'Battahl Cavern. They’re right in front of the entrance, in the first area you reach when you enter it.

Sal'Battahl Cavern is located in the southern region under Bakbattahl City, next to Wyrmsblood Forest. Start your journey from Bakbattahl and keep going south, crossing into the southern region. At the end, you’ll find a black treasure chest inside a small tent with the Frosted Edges inside it. The daggers offer a decent amount of strength with a whopping 350 Magick stat, which is extremely important considering Frosted Edges deal tons of Ice damage.
