Vernworth is the capital of Vermund in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and it can be considered the first major area Arisens will get to discover. It’s full of a bustling Merchant Quarter, and the citizens' Quarter can be divided into Noble, Common, and The Slums.

Upon setting foot inside Vernworth for the first time, you will be greeted by the queen guards as well as Officer Brant. The latter takes you to a quiet room where a Quest will trigger in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and after that, you will bump into a certain young man. Here, you must choose to lie or tell the truth to Norman.

After discovering that Brant is actually on the Arisen side and not on the queen’s side, the Seat of the Sovran Quest will be triggered in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Head outside the room only to stumble upon a mysterious boy running away from the Norman. He apologizes and proceeds to hide somewhere nearby. Shortly after, a Norman appears and asks if you saw anyone running and in which direction they went. Here, players have two options; lie or tell the truth.

Lie

If you lie to Norman, the mysterious boy will thank the players and promise to meet them later. After a few days of in-game time, you will encounter the young man again and trigger the Ornate Box Quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Also, the Seat of the Sovran Quest will be updated to "You helped the young man elude his pursuer."

Completing the Ornate Box Quest requires purchasing the Ornate Box from a merchant and giving it to the mysterious boy, Sven. Next, you need to meet him three times in the Merchant Quarter to receive three items; Jasper , Ring of Accrual , and a Ferrystone .

Tell The Truth

If you tell the truth, Norman will catch the mysterious boy immediately. Additionally, the Seat of the Sovran Quest will update to "You declined to help the young man flee the guard."

However, and most importantly, you will be locked out of the Ornate Box Quest, which would have been triggered if players lied. So, it’s more beneficial to lie, as not only you won't get to trigger a Quest, but you will also miss out on some rare rewards as well as a decent amount of Gold. Sven will also hand over a sophisticated-looking outfit in Dragon’s Dogma 2, which will benefit players later on while completing certain Quests.
