How To Get The Hawker Pawn Specialization in Dragon's Dogma 2
To get the Hawker Pawn Specialization in Dragon's Dogma 2, players will need to increase their affinity with the vendor, Montgomery. This vendor is particularly useful for players to encounter for earning a new Specialization, as well as acquiring Harpysnare Smoke Beacons, an essential item for trophy/achievement hunters.
To increase your affinity with Montgomery, you will need to give him gifts that he will appreciate, specifically Interesting Items and Fancy Items. To ensure success, players should try to give Montgomery stones like Jasper, Onyx, or Tigers Eye, or any available spellbooks they have that they may not want.
Player's won't receive the Hawker skill straight away, however, as building affinity takes several days. Be sure to give him one gift per day, as any extras in the same day won't count to the progress of your relationship with him. Thankfully, you can pass the time easily by sitting on the bench behind him and dozing off a few times until a day has passed.
After a few days of giving gifts to Montgomery, players should interact with the NPC then cancel the dialogue and walk away. You will be stopped by the vendor at this point, who will hand you the Hawker Tome as a token of his appreciation. Once you have the item, simply enter the Items menu of the game and select "Use" on the Hawker Tome.
How To Find Montgomery in Dragon's Dogma 2
Montgomery is a permanent vendor at the Borderwatch Outpost, the first settlement players will encounter in their playthrough of Dragon's Dogma 2. It is quite a distance from the Vermund capital of Vernworth, but there is an easy and relatively quick way to get to the desired location.
From Vernworth, players can make their way to the Borderwatch Outpost by taking the northern oxcart from Vernworth to Melve. From Melve, players can travel to their destination on foot, as it is only a short distance from the village. Montgomery will be found on the left side as you enter via the bridge, he will be standing in front of a tent.
