Archers are one of the most offensive Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The Bow-wielders mostly depend on ranged attacks to deal damage, mixed with some defensive skills that can help with survivability. As an offensive Vocation, building Archers with the right pieces of equipment can make a difference in fights and boss battles.

Since they mostly depend on their arrows to deal damage, it’s crucial to find the best Bows for Archers in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Their build will then revolve around that Bow, especially if it’s an overpowered weapon that can help them reach the endgame with ease.

Archers have access to some insane abilities and equipment in Dragon’s Dogma 2. For example, completing the Sphinx's riddles rewards players with an Unmaking Arrow that can one-shot any target in the game. You can get this arrow once again from The Dragonforged, who resides at Bay Wayside Shrine, by paying eight Wyrmslife Crystals.

As for Bows, Dragon's Rancor and Hydra Husk reside on top of any Bows tier list in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Both weapons offer over 300 Strength, which is higher than any other Bow. Unfortunately, players won’t get to test them during the first playthrough as they’re both obtainable in the endgame content, which locks players outside their first NG. Like most other endgame weapons, Hydra Husk will be available in all Vendors’ inventory for 75000 Gold. On the other hand, Dragon's Rancor is exclusively in The Dragonforged inventory, sold for 110 Wyrmslife Crystals.

The only place to find Dinistrydd in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is at Grisha’s Armory in Sacred Arbor. The Sacred Arbor is a small hidden Elven village located north of Vernworth Castle. While you’re able to find Dinistrydd and buy it from Grisha’s Armory, you’ll not be able to speak or see any texts from any Elf in Sacred Arbor. To avoid that hassle, hire a Pawn with Woodland Wordsmith Specialization, and they’ll translate for the Arisen.

Dinistrydd can be bought for 38900 Gold and sold for 12970 Gold. The Bow adds 233 strength to its wielder while granting them a 240 Knockdown Power. It’s a good bow for the early game that can offer a decent amount of damage on each shot.

You can buy Revenant Wail for 55000 Gold and sell it for 18340 Gold. Keep in mind, while on paper it looks expensive, it’s the best Bow to get during the first playthrough.

There are a lot of smaller systems at play in Dragon's Dogma 2. Here are some of the key systems and mechanics you're probably unaware of.

Revenant Wail will carry Archers throughout the entire Dragon’s Dogma 2 playthrough to the endgame. Compared to the closer match to Revenant Wail, Revenant Wail wins easily because of its lighter weight, where it can be more useful to explore the open world of Dragon’s Dogma 2.

To get Medusan Spellbow, you have to slay Medusa herself in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The Bow is unlike any other weapon in the game as it offers a unique passive to increase experience gained from defeating monsters and bosses. This can be handy when farming the Archer and Warferer Vocations, trying to maximize them quickly.

Other than that, Medusan Spellbow is extremely heavy, being above 15kg, which is half, if not more than half, the weight the Arisen or their Pawns can carry. So, it’s not practical to take Medusan Spellbow to go on journeys to collect items, as the bow already maximizes the carry weight in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
