The starting Vocations are Mage, Thief, Archer, and Fighter, and then later on, players will gain access to six more Vocations, which are as follows:

  • Warrior
  • Sorcerer
  • Warfarer
  • Trickster
  • Magick Archer
  • Mystic Spearhand

Lukcily, you'll soon be able to change your Vocation for you and your Pawns, but it comes at a cost. With this guide, we'll show Dragon's Dogma 2 players how to change Vocation and acquire new Weapon Skills that come with the other classes.

You'll first be able to switch Vocations by heading to the Borderwatch Lounge at the Borderwatch Outpost. This is the first major establishment players will visit. A main questline step will even force you to rest at the inn to see how everything works. By speaking to the man at the front desk, you can enter the Vocation Guild menu, which will not allow players to change their Vocation, but they can equip new skills and learn more about the different classes.

Of course, you should be able to visit any inn at most locations, like Tristan's Inn in Melve, and speak to the attendant to enter the Vocations menu. You can't learn new Weapon Skills or switch Vocations during combat and exploration, so you'll need to head back to a town.

To change Vocations in Dragon's Dogma 2, follow these steps:

  • Speak to the Inn attendant
  • Choose Vocation Guild
  • Select Change Vocation
  • Press the back triggers to scroll through your and your Pawns' info screen
  • Your current Vocations unlocked will appear under the Vocations tab
  • You must spend DCP to acquire new Vocations
  • You can increase the Rank of your Vocation by fighting enemies.

You will get the option to wake up at night or during the day. This is great for someone wanting to initiate a certain DD2 quest that may be time-locked .
