Dragon’s Dogma 2: Things You Should Always Pick Up

Players should always go out of their way to pick up the following items if they see them in Dragon's Dogma 2.

This vocation is perfect for players that want to stand in the back lines hitting their enemies with lethal arrows from afar. With various element arrows to craft and use, these are by far the best skills a player should purchase and upgrade when they want to play as an archer, including both core and weapon skills from this vocation.

1 Tempest Shot

Quickly Shoot Multiple Arrows

Fans may feel that playing an archer can be very slow. Thankfully, after unlocking Tempest Shot – originally Torrent Shot – players will be able to rapidly fire arrows at various foes. The more players press the weapon skill button, the more arrows they will shoot at the price of their stamina.

This weapon skill is great for those who wish to deal with multiple small enemies, while also being great when hitting weak spots of a larger foe if the player uses their focused shot. Tempest Shot increases the number of arrows a player can fire, making it even more lethal.

2 Leaping Punt

Knock An Enemy Over While Jumping Back

Core skills are just as vital to a player's archer vocation as weapon skills are. One of the most important skills for players to unlock quickly is Leaping Punt. This will be important for players who want to increase the maneuverability of their archer, as Leaping Punt allows players to kick away from an enemy while also possibly making the foe lose balance.

Players are likely to use this often when in hectic battles, especially if the enemies keep attempting to attack them instead of their pawns. Later core skills can make Leaping Punt even more powerful.

3 Manifold Shot

A Barrage Of Arrows

Manifold Shot in Dragon’s Dogma 2

The first weapon skill players will learn from the very beginning of Dragon's Dogma 2 is the Barrage shot. Players are likely to keep this weapon skill the entire time they play as the Archer vocation and then eventually upgrade it to the Manifold Shot.

This skill shoots several arrows at one foe, with the upgraded version of the barrage increasing the number of arrows shot. Players will use this often due to the minimum stamina used for shooting with this skill while also dealing a decent amount of damage.

4 Deathly Arrow

Pin Targets To Walls

Deathly Arrows deals an immense amount of damage that is equal to its name. This arrow is known for dealing a large amount of damage, even when it is the previous weapon skill of the Dire Arrow. Besides the health loss this arrow can cause an enemy, smaller foes can also be pinned to the wall.

This makes them unable to attack the Arisen or their pawns while also leaving them in a vulnerable state to be finished off by another barrage of arrows. Naturally, this doesn't work on larger foes but still has the potential to hurt.

5 Erupting Shot

An Explosive Arrow Of Great Power

There are multiple different arrow options that players can craft. Each one can have a specific effect on a foe that they may be weak to, as long as the player has the weapon skill that is attached to that arrow.

Out of all the available weapon skills connected to these arrows, one of the best for the vocation that players should consider in Dragon's Dogma 2 is the Erupting Shot, previously known as Exploding Shot. These arrows attach to a foe and cause an explosion that can deal a lethal amount of damage, which is perfect for any foe a player is likely to encounter.

6 Swift Nock

Nock Arrows Quicker

Returning to core skills, an archer relies heavily on how fast they can nock their arrows on their bow. This skill makes shooting arrows when using regular abilities, like loose or steady shot, much faster.

Dragon's Dogma 2's character creator has been released prior to the full game hitting stores. Here are a few ways it could be improved.

These attacks do not require weapon skills to use and therefore also don't use stamina, making regular attacks, especially against smaller foes, a far more viable decision during the heat of battle. Players are sure to notice the difference between having this core skill and not when they can quickly dispatch a group of enemies.

7 Parting Shot

Fire Arrows While Leaping Backward

Another core skill that players will likely use in connection with Leaping Punt is Parting Shot. This allows players to quickly fire an arrow as they jump backward off a foe. Although this may not deal a large amount of damage, it helps players continue to be a part of combat, even when they are trying to create distance between themselves and the enemy.

Not to mention that the Leaping Punt also knocks the enemy off balance, which leaves them open to this Parting Shot from the Archer vocation.

8 Heavenly Shot

A Lethal Arrow That Costs All The Player's Stamina

Heavenly Shot in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Finally, a final weapon skill players should consider obtaining when playing as the Archer vocation is the Heavenly Shot. This skill fires a holy arrow that costs whatever stamina the player has left to shoot it.

The amount of stamina that the player has left determines how potent the holy energy and therefore the damage of the arrow is, making it a perfect choice to fire first while on full stamina for an incredibly lethal shot. This, alongside the other weapon skills, leads to the archer being a dangerous vocation for foes to face.
