Dragon’s Dogma 2 has a world whose scale is nothing short of a technical marvel. With countless activities to partake in, intricate level designs to explore, and interesting NPCs to meet, the amount of information on players’ screens can be often overwhelming. This also applies to the map, which is cluttered with a plethora of map icons.
Thus, the guide will provide a simplified explanation and function of all the map icons in Dragon’s Dogma 2 to ease up players’ navigation as they continue to explore a big dense open world.

Dragon's Dogma 2: How to Unlock Mystic Spearhand
The Mystic Spearhand is one of the most powerful (and most visually impressive) Vocations in Dragon's Dogma 2. Here's how to unlock it.
How To Use The Dragon's Dogma 2 Map
In order to boot up the map, players can simply press the touchpad on the PlayStation or the View button on Xbox. Here, the world map is displayed with previously visited areas highlighted. A more granular view of the map is possible by clicking on respective cities or town settlements, which will then display a host of interesting map icons. At any given point, the player can instantly move the map cursor to their location with the left stick. Additionally, up to five custom markers can be placed around the map going from Roman numbers I to V, by pressing the waypoint button (right stick). In order to replace or completely erase the marker, just simply press X/A on it and choose the desired option.
