Scans of V Jump magazine are surfacing on Twitter and fans are getting a first look at Golden Frieza in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot with Bandai Namco providing details on what to expect from Frieza in the next DLC.

Leaked by @DbsHype, Golden Frieza maintains his classic look from the series with his golden form making the villain stronger, faster, and more of a threat to the Z-fighters as they fight to defend Earth once more.

Golden Frieza's story being the focus of DLC 2 was announced earlier in the year, but the return of Frieza and his new golden form should come as no surprise to players of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot who are familiar with the anime or manga. While the main game followed the Z storyline from the invasion of the Saiyans up until the final battle with Majin Buu, The DLC has followed an abridged version of the Dragon Ball Super storyline. DLC 1 starts with the appearance of Beerus, the God of Destruction and his battle against Goku for the fate of the Earth and the reveal of the new Super Saiyan God form.

Unlike the main story in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot the DLC has taken a few liberties with the Dragon Ball Super storyline, changing some character motivations and significant plot points, likely for the sake of time given the DLC, short length. While in the original story Beerus visits Earth to challenge the planets strongest fighter, the game simply brings the main cast to Beerus' planet for training.

Not much is known regarding what specific changes will occur to the Golden Frieza storyline but it's safe to assume some liberties will be taken in order to keep the DLC more gameplay focused. Meanwhile Bandai Namco revealed through V Jump that Golden Frieza will have 4 special techniques in his moveset that players will have to be weary of when finally confronting the classic villain.

The release of DLC 2 will bring the players right in the thick of things as far as the story of Dragon Ball Super. A curious note is how Bandai Namco will do with the 3rd and final DLC. While no details have been revealed for the final DLC would it could be assumed that it will continue the Super arc but to what extent is currently unknown. While there's plenty of storyline left in the Super arc, including the Tournament of Power, the DLC content has been relatively short in comparison, leaving fans to wonder what will be kept and what will be omitted in the next DLC for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
