Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's final DLC is here, and it puts players in the shoes of fan favorite character Future Trunks. After playing through the first episode of this DLC, a three year time skip sees Teen Trunks grow into an adult, and the story kicks off from there. Bulma is almost finished with her time machine, but she needs one final piece before she can send Trunks back in time to warn Goku and the others about the impending threat of the Androids. With this, Trunks is sent out into the mountains to search for a Pristine Crystal, and it can actually be a bit difficult to find.

While some of this may be considered spoilers for the events of DLC 3, most players probably have a general understanding of what happens during the story anyway since it is all covered during the Cell Saga in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. That said, players that want to avoid any potential spoilers about the second part of this DLC should turn back now.

The first step of this quest is to head to Goku's House on the world map and speak with Chi-chi and the Ox King. She is still mourning the loss of her son Gohan three years ago, but is happy to see Trunks alive and well. The Ox King tells Trunks where he can find the Pristine Crystal that Bulma needs to finish the time machine and asks if Trunks can clear out some Red Ribbon robots while he's there.

Where to find Pristine Crystal for Bulma

Fly to the quest marker and three Red Ribbon robots will attack the player. After dispatching them, Trunks will make a comment about finding the Pristine Crystal without anymore distractions. While it's tempting to fly around and look for this crystal inside of rocks or by breaking Katchin, there's really no need. Fly over to the waterfall and turn around so that the water is at Trunks' back. Hold L1 (LB, LShift) to scan the area for the item. It should be located to the right slightly right between two large boulders. While scanning, it will appear as a purple/rainbow sphere, just like finding D Medals.

After picking up the Pristine Crystal, players can head back to Goku's House to let Chi-chi and Ox King know that everything went smoothly. Finally, take the crystal back to Bulma and she will use it to finish her time machine. At this point, players can either roam around and train for a bit or continue the story by talking to Bulma and heading back to the past.
