Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a long-running Dragon Ball fighting game with RPG elements, developed by Dimps and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game has received numerous free and paid updates since its launch in October 2016, the latest of which became available on October 12th, 2023.
This Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update introduced both the "Cross Versus" game mode and the "Festival of Universes" event. This guide will break down how the Festival of Universes works and how players can take part in the event. This all begins with heading to the new "Festival of Universes" lobby.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: How To Get Ultra Instinct
Goku's Ultra Instinct form in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 takes a few special steps to acquire. Here's how to get it.
Festival of Universes Location
Players hoping to participate in the Festival of Universes will want to head for the main Plaza and track down the Universe Lobby Reception bot, which is behind the Multiplayer Modes NPC next to the large gate. Speaking to the bot will allow players to choose from the Universe 6, 7, and 11 lobbies.
How the Festival of Universes Works
After entering one of the lobbies, players can head over to the "Festival of Universes" reception robots and choose a team (players should head to the lobby of the team they want to join). Teams with a lower number of members receive a universe point bonus to balance the scales, designed to encourage players to select a team that is low on members.
The Festival is a three-month event, with the total Glory Points acquired by each team being tallied and calculated at the end of each week (this is also when the Universe Point Bonus multiplier is applied.) This is also when each Universe Team's placement for that week is determined and rewards are granted accordingly. Each team is given a score based on their placement for a given week and these scores are added together at the end of week seven to determine the grand champions.
The schedule is available at the Festival of Universes reception and should be checked regularly to see if there are score bonuses or special content for that week. For example, the first week of the first Festival of Universes grants additional Glory for participating in Parallel Quests.
