In celebration of the first anniversary of Dragon Ball: The Breakers, the fourth season of the game will introduce a set of fan favorite characters, which includes the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly as the new Raider character. Dragon Ball: The Breakers first released on October 13, 2022, which is Dimps and Bandai Namco's take on the asymmetrical multiplayer genre. It's also a rather unique take on the source material, where instead of a 3D arena fighter, seven players have to survive as weaker characters while avoiding or defeating an iconic villain from Dragon Ball.

These iconic villains were played by one player, known as Raiders. On launch, Cell, Frieza, and Majin Buu were available as playable villains, who each had their own unique playstyle. The second season and third seasons of Dragon Ball: The Breakers would eventually add both Vegeta and the Ginyu Force as playable Raiders. The game's fourth season ties in with the game's first anniversary, which includes a fan favorite villain from a non-canon DBZ-era movie, Broly, who was then included into the canon proper via the 2019 Dragon Ball Super: Broly theatrical film.

When Does Dragon Ball: The Breakers Season 4 Launch?

This new trailer for the fourth season was revealed during a special livestream that took place on Bandai Namco's YouTube channel, announcing that this content will be added to the game on November 1. The biggest draw would be the Raider character, the Dragon Ball Super incarnation of Broly, with many of his attacks and moves from his animated movie being replicated here. As a Raider, he has overwhelming power, even in his base form, where he starts at level 2 evolution stage instead of 1, like the other Raiders. He can then transform into both his normal Super Saiyan and his full power Super Saiyan state, which are his level 3 and level 4 evolution stages.

What's Included in Dragon Ball: The Breakers Season 4?

  • New Raider: Broly (Dragon Ball Super)
  • New Survivor Skins: Cheelai, Limo, Bulma (Snow Suit), Mr. Satan
  • Exclusive Super Transpheres For Fighting Broly: Goku, Vegeta, Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta

The game's directors describe him being able to take on multiple opponents at once, which is supported by his list of skills. In keeping with Broly's overwhelming power, he's a very offense oriented Raider, which will likely be a struggle for the Survivors. The trailer also revealed a number of other Survivor characters, which include Cheelai and Limo, Broly's friends, from the same movie. Not only that, Dragon Ball Z's lovable champion Mr. Satan is also a playable character in the game, who was added since he scored the highest in a survey regarding which playable Survivor fans would like to play as.

The trailer also showed off the ability to play as Goku and Vegeta, using an improved version of Dragon Ball: The Breakers' Transphere mechanic, Super Transpheres. These can transform the characters into Goku and Vegeta themselves, instead of merely emulating their abilities, which are key to defeating Raider Broly. Depending on the situation, players can even ascend to Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta to fight against Broly.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
