Dragon Ball Super chapter 95 came out recently and fans are incredibly excited for the future of the story as the current manga adaptation of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero continues. In the previous chapter, fans got to see an incredible amount of action between Gohan and Gamma 1 as well as Piccolo and Gamma 2.
This chapter explored the incredible power and potential of the Gamma Androids very well and, at the same time, showcased the limitations of the Z warriors against them. At the same time, the chapter also went on to showcase a new transformation for Piccolo at the very end and that is precisely what's going to be at the heart of Dragon Ball Super chapter 96.
Orange Piccolo's Powers
Dragon Ball Super chapter 96 is most certainly going to throw a lot of focus on Orange Piccolo. Towards the end of the last chapter, Piccolo was seen struggling to keep up with Gamma 2 despite using his unleashed potential powers and that is precisely where Shenron revealed that he threw in something extra for him. This manifested as Orange Piccolo and gave him a completely new transformation that fans have never seen before. Fans did not get a chance to see Orange Piccolo in action in the previous chapter and that is precisely where Dragon Ball Super chapter 96 will shine. The next chapter of the manga will surely give a glimpse of Piccolo in his new transformation and show fans exactly what he's capable of.
This new transformation for Piccolo is going to be a substantial boost and one that puts him on par with the likes of Goku and Vegeta. Piccolo has been struggling against Gamma 2 for the vast majority of their fight. Even though he can't keep up, he has got nothing in his arsenal strong enough to damage him and, at the same time, the more time passes, the weaker he got. That is precisely why Piccolo needed this incredible transformation and now that he has got it, he will surely overpower Gamma 2 with ease. The powers of Orange Piccolo are also going to be explored in great detail in the upcoming chapter.
Fans have not yet seen what Orange Piccolo is capable of, especially in the manga. While the movie has already explored the tremendous strength that this transformation gives Piccolo in great detail, the manga might take a different route and give fans something else that they will enjoy. Regardless, Piccolo is going to be exceptionally powerful, strong enough to overwhelm Gamma too. Fans should expect this fight to be completely one-sided and for Piccolo to hold a significant advantage in this fight moving forward.
Krillin And 18 Arrive
Dragon Ball Super's last chapter opened with Krillin and 18 talking about joining the battle against the Red Ribbon Army. Krillin was able to sense Gohan's Ki from afar and decided that he needed to be there. 18, being suspicious of him, decided to follow along. Together, these two are also going to play a very important part in the story moving forward. As fans already know, they will soon be heading towards Gohan and Piccolo's location and this might happen in Dragon Ball Super chapter 96. Whether they will play any major role in the next chapter or not remains to be seen. While fans might think that the manga will simply follow the events of the movie, they might be in for a surprise as certain things can easily be altered here.
The manga does not have to be a 1:1 adaptation of the movie and that is where things get interesting. Perhaps, Krillin and 18 will play a bigger role in the manga than they did in the movie and this is something that fans should keep an eye out for. Regardless, Krillin and 18 should soon join the battle and this will be even more interesting later on when they have to deal with an even bigger trouble than the Gamma Androids, who appear to be largely good, based on what fans have seen so far.
Interestingly, in the previous chapter, Piccolo talked about the personalities of these Androids and how they didn't seem to actually be bad. He lamented the fact that they simply followed the orders of the wrong person and that they had no personal freedom. This might be explored in the next chapter of Dragon Ball Super a bit more and fans can expect more focus to be thrown on the personalities of these Androids. At the end of the day, they too have emotions and feelings and that might come into play in some shape or form in the upcoming chapter.
If the resolve of these Androids is weakened even further, that means the arc would need a bigger villain to show up and fans know exactly who that is going to be. Even if there are major changes in the plot of the manga arc when compared to the movie, the main antagonist of the arc is going to be the same. Fans know that Cell Max is going to take the stage at some point in this arc and that is exactly where Dragon Ball Super chapter 96 good throw some attention to.
The Awakening Of Cell Max Gets Closer
The main antagonist of this arc of Dragon Ball Super is going to be Cell Max. Cell is a beloved villain in the Dragon Ball community and fans consider him to be one of the best, if not the best antagonists, to show up in the story. When it comes to Gohan, Cell holds tremendous importance as he was crucial in him unlocking his inner potential. Given that Gohan is at the center of this arc, Cell Max is going to be just as important, however, there are going to be slight differences when compared to the Cell seen in the original Cell Saga.
Dragon Ball Super chapter 96 would do well to advance the plot towards the awakening of Cell Max. This is especially true now that Piccolo is much stronger than Gamma 2. Up until now, Gohan and Piccolo struggled to deal with these Androids. Now, Piccolo is going to be vastly superior to both of them, even if they combined their strengths and, thus, the need for a stronger villain arises. Cell Max should be very close to his awakening now and when that does happen, fans will see the powers of both Piccolo and Gohan put to the test. Now, all eyes remain on Orange Piccolo and fans should expect the next chapter to focus solely on what he is capable of doing. Towards the end of Dragon Ball Super Chapter 96, perhaps some development related to the awakening of Cell Max will be given to the fans.
