A change made to the icon of the Steam version of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has accidentally leaked another playable character from the roster: Ultra Instinct Goku. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is one of the Dragon Ball fanbase's most anticipated game releases, as it is a return to the Budokai Tenkaichi series' 3D arena fighter roots. The game already boasts many fighters from across the franchise's history, which includes characters from the original series, Z, and the Super anime. The game will also contain several variants of its main character, Son Goku.

A Dragon Ball game roster wouldn't be complete without Goku, with the face of the franchise being represented by various sagas/eras of his life. The Saiyan Saga version of Goku, for example, is known as Z-Early, where he uses the Spirit Bomb and Kaioken techniques as they were depicted during that part of the show. While Goku (Super) gives him access to his Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue transformations, one version of the character that has been noticeably absent so far is Ultra Instinct Goku, one of the most iconic parts of Dragon Ball Super's run. However, a new leak suggests that this version of Goku might also be in the roster of Sparking Zero.

Rumor: Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Release Date Has Leaked

A notable insider leaks a probable release date for Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft's upcoming Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

SteamDB is a platform that is up-to-date on various changes made to the PC version of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, including things like the game's official icon being changed. One of the recent icon changes recorded by SteamDB featured a potential icon for the game, which showed Ultra Instinct Goku firing a Kamehameha. Likely a potential mistake, the Steam Client icon was changed again a few days later to a simple black and red kanji symbol representing the Tenkaichi Budokai (World Martial Arts Tournament), reinforcing how Sparking Zero is the fourth title in the Budokai Tenkaichi series.

While Ultra Instinct Goku hasn't been confirmed for Sparking Zero yet, it has become one of the most iconic parts of Goku and Dragon Ball Super. Other Dragon Ball games like Xenoverse 2 and FighterZ have included Ultra Instinct as a technique, transformation, or a completely separate version of Goku to play as. It's likely a safe bet that Ultra Instinct Goku will be a part of the roster for Sparking Zero.

Goku's voice actor revealed he did quite a lot of work for Sparking Zero, so it's possible that some of the voice clips and lines were for his Ultra Instinct form as well. Fans have also been speculating whether this version of Goku will be a part of Sparking Zero's base roster or as DLC. Fans will need to wait for more information from Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco to see if Ultra Instinct Goku will be in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.
