A new Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero trailer has revealed some of the fusion characters playable in the roster, along with gameplay of the team battles. The new trailer is focused on the fusion characters from Dragon Ball Z and Super, including both iconic combinations of Goku and Vegeta, Goten and Trunks, Kale and Caulifla, along with Zamasu.

In previous games like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Xenoverse 2, Fusion as a mechanic was excluded, but the characters were kept around in the roster, usually as a separate character from their constituents. Fans eagerly anticipating Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero's release have been wanting the fusion mechanics from the classic Budokai Tenkaichi series to make a return. Early scans confirmed that Gotenks and Kefla were part of the roster, along with the return of team battles and mid-battle fusions. A new trailer released by Bandai Namco focuses on some of the fighting game's playable fusion characters.

Recent changes to the Steam version of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero accidentally leaks another character for the fighting game's roster.

The new "Fused Warriors" trailer starts with a quick team battle of Caulifla and Kale taking on Goten and Trunks, who later transform into their Super Saiyan forms and fire their iconic energy blasts. The trailer also shows how a player's teammate can assist in an attack, as Trunks and Caulifla jump in and power up their partner's attack during a beam struggle. Goten and Trunks fuse into Gotenks, while Caulifla and Kale fuse into Kefla. Following a brief demonstration of their special moves, the trailer reveals the fusions of Goku and Vegeta, Gogeta and Vegito, are playable as well.

Another fusion character from Dragon Ball Super, Fused Zamasu, was confirmed to be playable in his normal and Half-Corrupted state. As Fused Zamasu is the combination of Future Zamasu and Goku Black, it's safe to say that these two villains will also be part of the game's roster. The versions of Gogeta and Vegito in this trailer also hail from Dragon Ball Super, meaning they can transform into Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan Blue. The moves and techniques the characters use are also modeled after how they look in the anime.

Based on a bunch of recent leaks, it's possible fans may see not only more characters, but also the possible release date for Sparking Zero. Many fans are eagerly waiting to see more of the game during Summer Game Fest.
