The longtime voice actor for Goku, Sean Schemmel, might have inadvertently confirmed that Dragon Ball GT content will be included in the upcoming Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero arena fighter. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is one of the most anticipated releases by Bandai Namco, with Dragon Ball fans extremely hyped for the return of the classic fighting game series. One of the most anticipated aspects of Sparking Zero is its roster, which features several fighters from Dragon Ball's history.

Most of the fighters featured in the roster of Sparking Zero stem from the iconic Dragon Ball Z era and the most recent Dragon Ball Super anime arcs. Characters like Goku are represented in various eras of each arc as well, with transformations like Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue being exclusive to the Super version of Goku. However, one show fans have noticed that hasn't gotten a lot of love so far is Dragon Ball GT, with pre-release material only focusing on Z and Super. However, according to Goku's voice actor, he might have recorded content from GT that will be in the game.

July 5 is Going to Be a Big Day for Bandai Namco Fans

Some big reveals are expected out of Bandai-Namco on July 5, as the publisher hones in on one specific sector of gaming fans.

In a recent video of a Q&A panel between the Dragon Ball cast at Anime Riverside 2024, Sean Schemmel was discussing the multiple voices he does for the series, Goku included. Schemmel then brings up the last game that he's been recording with Daman Mills, the voice of Frieza and the voice director of Sparking Zero. He notes how the various forms of Goku each have subtle changes in inflection, and keeping track of them all was difficult. He mentions the various transformations of Goku that have been confirmed for Sparking Zero, such as Super Saiyan 3 and Super Saiyan God, but then mentions Super Saiyan 4 in the same breath, a form currently not in the game.

Sean Schemmel Might Have Confirmed Super Saiyan 4 Goku For Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

If Schemmel is to be believed, vocal references of his Super Saiyan 4 performance were utilized while recording for Sparking Zero. Fans believed that Schemmel might have accidentally confirmed that Dragon Ball GT content could possibly be coming to Sparking Zero, though whether it will be as DLC or in the base game is up in the air as well.

Goku's voice actor previously revealed how much work he did for Sparking Zero, with the total amount of time being roughly 60-80 hours of voice work, which not only includes the iconic hero, but the villainous Goku Black, supporting characters like King Kai, and the fusion characters like Gogeta and Vegito. However, this statement from Schemmel shouldn't be taken as absolute fact until Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft reveal more about Sparking Zero and if GT will be represented.
