This moment is later lampooned by Goku after the Destroyer God is placated. Seeing Goku mimic Vegeta's cry of anguish is pretty hilarious indeed, and shows just how deep the bond between these two Saiyans really is.

1 Finding Out Who Trunks' Parents Are

The mysterious Saiyan who cuts down both Frieza and his father is a source of great excitement when he arrives for the first time in Dragon Ball Z. It's not until Goku lands that we find out who he really is.

The Saiyan is revealed to be Trunks from an alternate timeline, with his parents being Bulma and Vegeta. This revelation surprises Goku quite a bit, who can't really keep his reaction under control and has to keep his emotions under check while relaying Trunks' information to the rest of the group.
