Fans of Dragon Age 4 are speculating after Jon Curry, the voice actor for Zevran in the long-running series, expresses his desire for the character to return in BioWare's upcoming Dragon Age 4.

After tweeting his excitement about working on a new unannounced project, Curry received multiple responses from fans hoping to see the character's return in BioWare's Dragon Age 4. In response, Curry voiced his eagerness to bring the character back, and suggested someone should start a letter writing campaign.

Zevran, who has been a significant character since Dragon Age: Origins, was not heavily featured in the latest game in the series, Dragon Age: Inquisition. Zevran is mentioned briefly in Inquisition with different teases to the character's whereabouts and allegiances that are dependent on choices players have made throughout previous games. At this time, Zevran is not confirmed to be in Dragon Age 4.

Since its official unveiling, very little has been said about Dragon Age 4, with BioWare mainly releasing concept art and tease trailers for the game. On Dragon Age day, a celebration of the series, BioWare released four short stories with different authors that centered around the lore of the franchise, each story covering different aspects of the series. These are still being poured through by fans looking for the hints about the future of the series.

Recently, long-time BioWare employees Mark Darrah and Casey Hudson announced their departure from the developer. Both Hudson and Darrah have had significant roles within the company, with Darrah serving as executive producer on several BioWare games. Casey Hudson's work in BioWare started with the release of Knights of the Old Republic in 2003, and he was involved in the Mass Effect series before leaving in 2014. Hudson returned to BioWare in 2017 as a General Manager.

The Dragon Age franchise has been dormant since the launch of Inquisition in 2014. BioWare transitioned to other projects such as Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem, with both games widely criticized for different reasons. Andromeda was plagued with bugs that hampered the overall experience and Anthem quickly lost its playerbase after launch. Anthem's fan response resulted in BioWare scrapping major expansions to the game to instead focus on retooling Anthem from the ground up.

While little is known about what Dragon Age 4 will entail, Geoff Keighley, host of The Game Awards, teased that fans of Dragon Age will want to tune into the show as it airs this Thursday, leading to what could be the biggest reveal for the upcoming game since its reveal at The Game Awards in 2018.

Dragon Age 4 is currently in development.
