  • Baldur's Gate 3's character creator system allows for a largely accurate recreation of most Veilguard team members.

A gamer has recently recreated all the Dragon Age: The Veilguard team members using Baldur’s Gate 3’s character creator system, achieving impressive results. There’s probably a fairly big overlap between Dragon Age and Baldur’s Gate players, considering BioWare started both RPG franchises, so it’s not surprising to see this happening soon after Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s characters were officially revealed.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard recently revealed its first trailer during the Xbox Games Showcase. While some people had mixed opinions about the game’s art style, the new Dragon Age is still eagerly awaited by many BioWare fans, and some people have already started hyping the new companions.

BioWare reveals the final batch of Dragon Age: The Veilguard class specializations that will be featured in the upcoming fantasy RPG.

Now, a gamer called CobaltP has shared eight Baldur’s Gate 3 characters they have created based on Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s team on r/dragonage. This creation covers essentially all seven Dragon Age: The Veilguard companions, plus Varric, and they mostly look very good. While some characters such as Emmrich and Taash are not exactly as similar as their original inspiration due to BG3’s difficulty in representing older characters or the lack of Qunaris, most of them are pretty accurate, such as the elves Bellara and Davrin. Dragon Age: Veilguard Team Members As BG3 Characters

It’s not surprising to see these characters being recreated by Baldur’s Gate 3 fans. Even former BioWare devs such as David Gaider praised Baldur’s Gate 3, considering the game a worthy successor to the old-school BG titles. Both games are also very focused on a charismatic team of characters, and BG3 has a pretty extensive character-building system, which makes it possible to emulate several types of characters.

At the moment, not much is known about the Veilguard companions apart from their names, professions, and affiliations, so fans are still speculating a lot about the story and how these characters will interact with each other. It was already revealed that the Inquisitor from Dragon Age: Inquisition will be featured in the game, but BioWare recently confirmed that Dragon Age 2’s Hawke will not return in The Veilguard. Hawke previously appeared in one mission during Dragon Age: Inquisition, so it’s possible that some fans would be expecting them to come back.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is set to be released sometime during the Fall, and fans will likely get more information about companions soon. While they wait, at least they can recreate the upcoming game’s team in titles such as Baldur’s Gate 3.
