But beneath the sunshine and smiles, Merrill hides dark secrets, such as practicing blood magic and trying to restore an Eluvian, despite being warned of the dangers. This shows that while Merrill is not immune to corruption, she is certainly a brave and dedicated individual, which is where her strength lies.

As Hawke, players would need to find a safe home for what remains of their family, find a place in the city, and even become the one to save it with a little help from their friends. One such companion they will recruit is an elf called Solas, an astute mage with great knowledge of the Fade, spirits, and demons, but there is so much more to this mage than meets the eye. He is, in fact, Fen'Harel, one of the older elves that achieved immortality and is close to a god among men. His never-ending nature and the potent magic he holds within make Solas the strongest elf fans would ever meet, and maybe even the strongest companion out of all of them.
