Following his announcement to return to streaming, Dr Disrespect confirms the start time of his first livestream via a countdown timer.

Many unknowns still surround Dr Disrespect's Twitch ban. He had signed a multiyear partnership deal with the streaming platform but was cut short due to unknown reasons several weeks ago. Neither Dr Disrespect nor Twitch have come forward with firm answers on the situation. Previously, a rumor began to surface indicating that Dr Disrespect may have been banned for criminal reasons, but he's reportedly waiting until he has the ability to fully reveal the story without being slammed legally.

Then, as the heat of this controversy died down, Dr Disrespect suddenly announced his return to streaming via YouTube, one of Twitch's top competitors. He confirmed his return via a tweet, saying "Tomorrow, we arrive," as well as a livestream video on his YouTube channel. But for the past day, that live video has only shown a graphic of a gas station with his logo as a distress signal in the top right-hand corner. Today, however, a countdown timer began, confirming that the livestream will start at approximately 1PM PST, or 4PM EST on August 7, 2020.

What he will be streaming, however, is not yet clear. Additionally, many have been surprised to see Dr Disrespect quiet on the subject of his ban, and many are wondering if he'll come clean about the ban. When Dr Disrespect did break his silence on the Twitch ban, he was very adamant that he had absolutely no idea why it had happened. If he's being sincere, then Doc is just as much in the dark as the rest of his fanbase.

Some industry experts have been speculating on the ban, suggesting that it likely could be as boring as money allocation. Journalist Maddy Myers on Twitter says that Doc will never come forward about the true reason he was let go because he gains popularity from the mystery. For example, Twitch may have been moving around money to offer Ninja a spot back on its platform, Myers suggests. "The mystery will always be more exciting than the truth and Dr. Disrespect knows that," the tweet reads.

Following the Mixer shutdown, ex-Twitch streamer Ninja also moved over to YouTube. He reportedly previously left Twitch for similar toxicity reasons, criticizing the platform for inconsistency in its policies. With Dr Disrespect now in the mix, Youtube certainly will have gained some traction against Twitch.
